Build a health station for the villagers in Makulubita Sub-County, Luweero District in Uganda

Aim and Goal of the Project:

Construction of one central hospital and other mobile clinics for about 3000 people in the villages of Makulubita Sub-County, Luweero District, Uganda.

Situation at Hand

The people in Makulubita Sub-County, Luweero District in rural parts of central Uganda depend on a single clinic equipped with only 2 Nurses. A public hospital is located 15km away and linked by very poor infrastructure. For critical cases, which need to take the long route to the hospital, because the poor means of transport (mostly by bicycle) patients end up dying on the way! There is a need for quick access to well-staffed and equipped hospital/clinics especially for the mothers, children and elderly.

Life revolves around health. Only healthy people can participate in development.

Project Difficulties

Apart from bad roads, there is currently no electricity in Makulubita. The Project must have the ability to run on solar.
